As part of its strategy to support and promote distinctive and purposeful sports, and its commitment to supporting sports initiatives and events that contribute to strengthening Jordan’s presence on the international sporting events map, Jordan Commercial Bank supported and sponsored the Jordan International Bridge Festival. The festival kicked off on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the InterContinental Hotel in Amman and continued for one week, attracting wide participation from players from Arab, Middle Eastern, European, and Asian countries.
The 43rd edition of the festival was held concurrently with the 17th Arab Bridge Clubs Championship. The two events ran over the course of one week, featuring outstanding administrative and technical arrangements that reflect Jordan’s growing reputation as a host and organizer of international and Arab bridge championships. The festival brought together more than 200 male and female players representing a number of Arab and Middle Eastern countries, in addition to participants from European and Asian countries. The competitions attract a distinguished group of bridge players and champions each year, as the festival represents an important sporting event and provides an opportunity for competition, experience-sharing, and the pursuit of titles.
Jordan Commercial Bank’s support for the festival is in line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility, and reflects the partnership between the private sector and the sports sector in supporting and sustaining events that bring together leading bridge players from around the world.
In recognition of Jordan Commercial Bank’s support and sponsorship of the Jordan International Bridge Festival, Mr. Mamoun Al-Qotob, President of the Jordan Bridge Federation, honored the Bank by presenting it with a shield of appreciation and gratitude. The award was received by Mr. Rakan Al-Tarawneh, Deputy General Manager – Corporate Banking at Jordan Commercial Bank, during the festival’s closing dinner. Mr. Al-Qotob commended the Bank’s continued support for meaningful sporting events and its role in contributing to the success of this international event hosted by the Kingdom.
