Jordan Commercial Bank Launches Campaign to Support Cancer Patients
In line with its commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, Jordan Commercial Bank recently partnered with King Hussein Cancer Center to launch a humanitarian campaign aimed at encouraging its employees to undergo early cancer screening and donate to support women with cancer. This initiative coincides with October, which is designated by the World Health Organization as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The campaign involved setting up "Dukkan Al-Khair" charity booth, affiliated with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, at the bank's headquarters for a whole day. Informative brochures were distributed to employees, and a variety of customized gifts were showcased for purchase, with proceeds going towards supporting underprivileged children, adults, and women who cannot afford early cancer detection tests.
In this regard, Mr. Caesar Qulajen, the General Manager, stated: "At Jordan Commercial Bank, we believe in the importance of social responsibility and our role in supporting humanitarian causes. We are pleased to contribute to supporting cancer patients through this initiative, which stems from our belief in the importance of community solidarity in confronting this disease."
He added that the bank will be organizing various activities and events throughout this month to raise awareness among employees about the importance of early breast cancer detection and encourage them to donate to support patients.
